Sundial Pedestal Bases

Sundials are made to be seen – both by the sun and the gardener. The dial face needs to be readable to the gardener and above the height of small plants, flowers and shrubbery that may otherwise interfere with the gnomon’s shadow. We offer a range of pedestal bases that start at 14” height and go up to 32”. Material choices range from wrought iron/steel wire to cast aluminum and cast iron pedestals. We also have a selection of one of a kind wooden architectural salvage plinths. 

All of our Rome sundials are designed to fit all of our pedestal bases. The exceptions are our armillary sundials which only mount on our #B18, #B26 Cast Iron pedestals and #B32 Aluminum Base
